Rubber Binder

It is a specially formulated single component, moisture cure binder manufactured for the production of moulded product using granulated SBR, TPV, and/or EPDM rubber. Develop final products that can be used as a fully functional sports, leisure and fall protection surface. The product does not contain any toxic monomers nor does it have pungent odours.

Polyurethane Composition: The binder is primarily composed of polyurethane, a versatile polymer known for its excellent bonding properties, durability, and flexibility. Polyurethane binders are commonly used in rubber-based products due to their ability to form strong and resilient bonds.

Moisture Cure: The binder cures and forms bonds in the presence of moisture, eliminating the need for additional curing agents or heat activation. This facilitates the production process and allows for efficient moulding of rubber granules into final products.

Compatibility with Rubber Granules: The binder is specifically formulated to bond granulated rubber materials, including SBR, TPV, and EPDM. These rubber materials are commonly used in sports surfaces, leisure areas, and fall protection surfaces due to their resilience and shock-absorbing properties.

Versatility: The binder is suitable for a wide range of applications, including sports surfaces (e.g., playgrounds, athletic tracks), leisure areas (e.g., recreational parks, outdoor gyms), and fall protection surfaces (e.g., playgrounds, safety mats). Its versatility allows for the production of products with different thicknesses, densities, and surface finishes.

Non-Toxic and Odourless: The binder does not contain any toxic monomers or harmful chemicals, making it safe for use in environments where people may come into contact with the final products. Additionally, it does not emit pungent odours during the production process, ensuring a pleasant working environment.

Excellent Bonding Properties: The binder forms strong and durable bonds between the rubber granules, ensuring that the resulting moulded products exhibit uniform density and resilience. This enhances the performance and longevity of rubber-based surfaces in various applications.

Customization Options: Manufacturers may have the flexibility to customize the formulation of the binder to meet specific requirements, such as adjusting the curing time, viscosity, or other properties to optimize production processes and product performance.

Ease of Handling: The binder may be formulated for easy handling and application in manufacturing processes, whether through spray application, mixing with rubber granules, or other methods. This facilitates efficient production and consistent product quality.
